How does the SSP work?
Music is played through over-ear headphones, which has been specially engineered in order to gradually expose the auditory system to different sound frequencies. It works by stimulating the facial and vagus nerves and helping the autonomic nervous system to regulate, improving concentration and social engagement.
Think, feel and connect better with nervous system regulation

ABOUT

Who is the SSP For?
The Safe and Sound Protocol can help adults and children with the following difficulties and challenges:
-
Anxiety
-
Trauma related challenges
-
Auditory sensitivities
-
Inattention
-
Stressors that impact social engagement
Tell Me More
When the nervous system remains in a chronic state of defense, it affects both the mind and body – impacting how we feel, think, and connect with others.
This can adversely affect our health and day-to-day experience in the world. Talk therapy often requires a person to take a top-down approach, and be able to name their emotions and experiences in order to make progress. The Safe and Sound Protocol is a bottom-up approach. This works directly with a person’s physiological response to perceived threat.
Benefits of Nervous System Regulation
-
Improved response to stress
-
Better emotional regulation and resilience
-
More social connection and deeper relationships
What can I expect?
The Safe and Sound Protocol helps autonomic flexibility and allows our nervous systems to return into a “safe and sound” state rather than being stuck in fight/flight or freeze state. During the program people may experience effects such as disturbed sleep, digestion, increased fight/flight reactions, sensory reactivity and body sensations. None of these reactions are a bad thing. They just signal that our bodies are trying to shift. With our work together, I support people through these possible reactions.

How Do I Access The SSP
The SSP is delivered through an app on your phone with over the ear non noise canceling headphones.
The SSP is most safe and effective when guided by a trained provider. We work together to develop a plan that is right for you to complete the SSP. Some people—especially those with trauma histories or high sensory sensitivity—need very gentle pacing.
Are you curious if this is right for you?
